Nutrition Facts of Money (1999-2002)

Apart from the everyday questions regarding the alienability of money, I am interested in the aspect of its potential internalization. I had freshly printed bills (German Marks, Dollars and Euros) checked by a food chemistry lab and created graphics from the results. The Swiss curator Harald Szeemann was so kind as to join them to the works of Marcel Duchamps and Joseph Beuys in his exhibition “Geld und Wert – Das letzte Tabu” (Money and Value – the last Taboo).
